Christmas has come early

Yesterday was Monday 8th September and during my lunch break I went for a walk in Brighton town.

I was both shocked and horrified to find that shops have started to stock Christmas cards, Christmas wrapping paper and Christmas Crackers.

Christmas has become nothing more than a big commercial giant and I think having all this stuff out this early is a shame. On the other hand whilst writing this I do understand that shops are bringing Christmas stock out early so people can spread their payments over the next few months rather than buying it all in one go in December.

I am sure it wont be long until we get Christmas adverts on our TV screens.

Go forth and consume!

Fire Walls...

at the start of the year i got a new job working for a software company that makes facilities management solutions.
as such i have spent most of febuary away in holland, and it is here that i write from.

i have been staying in a hotel in wijchen near nijmegen; the oldest city in the netherlands.
its a nice place but compared to brighton its quiet.

i spend my evenings making music on my mac and watching bbc1 and bbc2 on the tv.
the hotel has a hardwired broadband connection and it works like a giant network.
this means that i can see everyone elses pcs thru my mac.

i am amazed how many people do not secure their pcs and leave them open for people such as me to browse their contents.
out of 6 pcs last night only one blocked me looking thru their my documents and hard drives.
if i were an evil person i could quite easily delete all files.
its also got me thinking about what i would do if i found 'dodgy' material on them.
most people have photos on their pcs so i would be able to know who to stare at during breakfast.

so word of advise - use your firewalls. as i may be looking.

at the end of this week i will be back in uk for a few days before going skiing.
i am looking forward to the middle of march when i am back for longer than a week.

the nice thing about being away is that i have been able to work on a number of my amongst the pigeons tracks.
the album is coming along nicely and will hopefully be fully finished by christams.
so you can have pigeons in your stockings this year.

My How Time Flies

2008. We are already one month into this new year. Time is going quickly. As you will have seen I have not added much to this blog (yet), but hope to change that over the next few months.

At the start of the new year I started a new job. The last 4 weeks have involved a LOT of training and learning new things. Next week I travel to Holland to continue my development. I will be going to Nijmegen, the oldest city in the Netherlands. It looks lovely and I am excited about going. However I will not see much of the city as I'll be training from 9-6.

Bye for now

I need your VOTE! Hold Tight: Brighton

A while back I made a 60 second promo video encouraging people to visit Brighton. This was for a competition hosted by Visit Brighton and I found out yesterday that my film came 3rd. This is great as I win some money and get to use a full video kit for two days. I plan on using this to record footage for a short film I want to make. Its based on my story 'pub watch 22 and the mystery of the falling man.

But alongside this my video has been entered into the 'peoples choice' voting too.
So here's where I need your help. I need you to click the link below and then vote for my film Hold Tight Brighton. You can watch all the films there and if you have any comments about mine please post them here.

It only takes about 10 seconds to vote so please help me out. Thanks in advance.

Final Cut - Vote for HOLD TIGHT BRIGHTON
